Quality of Life and Its Relative Factors Among Patients With Multiple Sclerosis: A Cross-sectional Study in Northwest Iran

Background: Multiple sclerosis (MS) is one of the critical diseases due to its adverse clinical, social, and economic consequences for affected people. This study aims assess quality life (QoL) patients with MS in East Azerbaijan, Iran. Methods: cross-sectional was conducted using multiple life-54 (MSQoL-54) questionnaires interview 300 randomly selected Azarbaijan Province, The independent t-test, analysis variance (ANOVA), Tukey post hoc test were used examine relationship between demographic variables, QoL, all analyses performed SPSS software, version 19. Results: QoL score 48.22±22.48. “life satisfaction” best “physical role limitation” worst aspect. Significant relationships observed marital status, education level, employment age symptoms onset, years illness (P<0.05). Conclusion: Province lower than other parts Iran much Organization Economic Co-operation Development (OECD) countries.
